How did the Bataan Death March Affect the War?
The Bataan Death March is a significant event in American and Filipino history. Not only was it a big loss for us, but it was the largest surrender in American history. All the prisoners of war under the Japanese were used as slaves in poor conditions and little food; barely survivng. The Bataan Death March took place shortly after Pearl Harbor, and the Americans had a lot of grief after both of these events. Through propaganda, the anger that came from the Bataan Death March started a new fire and motivated the americans to fight for their country and lives lost.
